It seeks to provide the distinctive identity, relationships, learning and leadership, supporting its staff and families to meet the high expectations for the achievement and holistic development of its students in our local, national and international communities.<br /></p><p>Bellfield College have a future focused mindset and maintain a positive and effective learning environment through well-prepared and varied lessons, which cater to the range of student abilities and interests. </p><p><b>About the Role </b></p><p>Reporting to the Head of Senior School, the Careers Advisor provides quality, pro-active, post-secondary career guidance and individual counselling to assist the students in making well-informed decisions about their tertiary study options and future career paths. </p><p>The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge and expertise in providing career consultations regarding career planning, post-secondary study options and vocational guidance to secondary school students. </p><p><b>This position is 2 days per week. </b></p><p><b>Key responsibilities </b></p><p>Duties include, but are not limited to: </p><p>• providing quality, one-to-one career advice to students and parents to develop an Academic Pathway Plan </p><p>• implementing an effective post-secondary pathways program for Year 10 students </p><p>• creating career engagement opportunities for Year 9 students </p><p>• assisting with the delivery of information evenings and events that provide opportunities for students to make informed decisions about post-secondary destinations </p><p>• assisting with the delivery of information to students and parents regarding transition processes from the School to tertiary providers </p><p>• ensuring current and relevant tertiary entrance information is available to the School community </p><p><b>Our Ideal Candidate </b></p><p>• Possess relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. career advisor) </p><p>• Experience in providing career consultations regarding career planning, post-secondary study options and vocational guidance to secondary school students </p><p>• Demonstrate a proactive approach to the acquisition of updated and relevant knowledge relating to university offerings and other post-secondary pathways </p><p>• Ability to facilitate and evaluate workshops, seminars and other information events </p><p>• Experience with international university entry requirements and scholarship applications </p><p>• Ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders across the tertiary sector both nationally and internationally </p><p>• Ability or willingness to acquire the skills to collect and interpret data relating to students’ post-secondary tertiary enrolments and longitudinal achievements </p><p><b>What next? </b></p><p>If you’d like to express interest, send through a full resume and covering letter addressing your interest and suitability to the role directly to Ms Mouina Ramadan via email mouina.ramadan&#64;bellfield.nsw.edu.au. </p><p>Applications will only be considered from applicants who have the right to work in Australia, appropriate NESA accreditation and retention of a valid Working with Children Check. </p><p>Bellfield College is committed to providing equal opportunity and supporting our communities by providing opportunities to grow and make a real difference.
