The Assistant Principal is a practising Catholic who contributes in a significant way to the Catholic life of the school. &nbsp;They exercise Strategic Leadership, both&nbsp;within the school and in support of the goals of the Catholic Education System and the broader educational community. The position provides Leadership for Learning and Relational Leadership, supporting and guiding both students and staff. The role also supports the management of the school operationally, including in the area of employment and workplace processes.<br><br></p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>A proven commitment to Catholic education and demonstrated leadership ability in the development of Catholic identity, life and culture in schools;<br><br></li> <li>Highly developed self-management skills and the capabilities of self-reflection, integrity, resilience and emotional maturity;<br><br></li> <li>Demonstrated ability to develop the vision, mission and strategic goals of the College, to bring them alive in innovative educational programs and practices and also aligning them with the national and system agenda;<br><br></li> <li>The passion and expertise to work individually and collectively with students and staff, to maximise the learning outcomes and well-being for each individual student;<br><br></li> <li>Proven leadership skills in working collaboratively and flexibly with colleagues to build their capacity and manage their performance. Coaching expertise and experience highly desirable;<br>&nbsp;</li> <li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to facilitate productive, just and caring relationships on all levels, to resolve conflict and to deal with complex interpersonal issues.<br><br></li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br></em></p> <p><em>Please note that this full-time position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) will be offered based on performance outcomes.
