We strive for excellence and ensure the holistic development of each student through a balanced approach to faith, academic, sporting and cultural activities.</p><p>The College is seeking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced teacher to the Inclusion Support Coordinator position. The position commences January 2022. Please note that this position involves approximately 0.4 FTE teaching / 0.6 FTE coordination.  </p><p><b>Inclusion Support Coordinator Responsibilities:</b></p><p>1. Maintain membership and regular involvement with appropriate professional associations for networking, collegiate support and maintenance of professional standards of Inclusion Support Coordinators</p><p>2. Work collaboratively with students, parents/guardians, college staff (including boarding and the health centre), the Catholic Education Office, the Department of Education and other relevant individuals and organisations for the appropriate provision of service for the Inclusion Support programs.</p><p>3. Coordinate, develop and implement an appropriate Inclusion Support program to ensuring the approach meets the social, emotional and educational needs of students with inclusive needs.</p><p>4. Coordinate and manage a team of support staff, including Inclusion Support Practitioner/Administrator, Inclusion Support Assistants, Learning Nest Tutors and Aboriginal and Islander Education Workers to maximise student support.</p><p>5. Contribute as an active member of the Academic Care Team and coordinate regular Inclusion Support meetings for appropriate school-based staff. </p><p>6. Manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with inclusive needs.</p><p>7. Liaise with the Business Manager and Line Manager regarding the allocation and acquittal of the inclusion support budget. </p><p>8. Coordinate and support where appropriate the Learning Nest (after school homework centre).</p><p>9. Engage parents/guardians of students with inclusive needs in the Inclusion Support process to ensure the regular two-way communication of information to best support the educational needs of their children.</p><p>10. Where requested, support the Principal in the enrolment process of students with inclusive needs.</p><p>11. Provide professional learning opportunities to teaching and inclusion support staff to build capacity to support better gifted and talented students and students with additional needs.</p><p>12. Monitor, review and make recommendations regarding the Inclusion Support program at the College.</p><p><b>Teaching and Other Responsibilities: </b></p><p>1. Teaching and other duties in line with a teaching staff member of the College. </p><p>2. Any other duties as directed by the identified member of the Strategic Leadership Team.</p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b></p><p>1. A demonstrated understanding of the ethos of a Catholic school and its mission. </p><p>2. Knowledge of and the ability to implement effective and inclusive teaching and learning processes, including the use of learning technology and assessment, to establish a challenging learning environment in which students are encouraged to work towards the attainment of their potential.<br /></p><p>3. Ability to communicate effectively with students, their families and the wider community through appropriate interpersonal skills. </p><p>4. Ability to plan and apply appropriate behaviour management strategies that contribute to establishing and maintaining a supportive learning environment. </p><p>5. Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with school staff, parents and members of the local school community in order to establish and develop productive partnerships, in an intercultural environment to achieve optimal educational outcomes. </p><p>6. Commitment to maintain current and relevant professional learning and meet the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers.</p><p>7. Level of ICT literacy to undertake the responsibilities of the position. </p><p>8. Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information. </p><p>9. Ability to work in accordance with College, system and jurisdiction policy, processes and legislation.</p><p> </p><p>10. Registration for the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory.</p><p>11. Northern Territory Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card).</p><p><b>Highly Desired Criteria:</b></p><p>1. Formal qualifications in the area of Inclusive / Special Education. </p><p>2. Qualifications and/or experience in working with students from an EALD background.</p><p>3. Certification and/or experience in working with students from a trauma background.</p><p> </p><p>4. Experience coordinating, developing and implementing a collaborative approach to Education Adjustment Plans for students with a range of additional needs. </p><p>5. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD) process. </p><p>6. Knowledge, understanding and capacity to manage the data collection, funding application and request for service process to maximise support for students with additional needs (Catholic Education Northern Territory&#39;s INSPIRE system). </p><p>7.
