Learning and Teaching Position of Leadership. Fulltime and Ongoing.

<p>Role Description </p><p>St Francis Xavier Primary school is seeking an experienced, motivated and inspiring Learning and Teaching Leader who is able to collaborate with others as part of a team, working towards improving learning outcomes for all students. A passion for teaching and an understanding of learning in a contemporary environment is essential.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will be a skilled classroom practitioner, familiar with the Victorian Curriculum and the Science of Reading.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school and to the safety and wellbeing of children. The applicant is required to observe the care, safety and welfare of students which are embedded in school policies and procedures.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>The successful applicant will:</p><p><br /></p><p>have a commitment to the philosophy of Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of all children</p><p><br /></p><p>possess the qualifications, skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience </p><p><br /></p><p>be prepared to be involved in extra curricular school activities </p><p><br /></p><p>Accreditation to teach or lead Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation </p><p><br /></p><p>hold Victorian Institute of Teaching Registration </p><p><br /></p><p>In addition, successful applicants will be expected to:</p><p><br /></p><p>Commit to the Catholic Ethos, the principles of Catholic teaching, and living the school’s vision </p><p><br /></p><p>Commit to the St Francis Xavier Child Safe Policy &amp; the Staff Code of Conduct </p><p><br /></p><p>Commit to ongoing professional learning and the continuing development of a positive school culture </p><p><br /></p><p>Have a capacity to promote contemporary and innovative practice </p><p><br /></p><p>Have an ability to communicate positively and effectively with all stakeholders in the school community and have high expectations for all students </p><p><br /></p><p>Gather, analyse and use student data to drive learning and teaching and inform best practice </p><p><br /></p><p>Current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching </p><p><br /></p><p>Master&#39;s degree or other relevant Postgraduate study either completed or commenced would be viewed favourably </p><p><br /></p><p>Please refer to the attached Role Description, Application for Employment, Selection Criteria, Child Safety Code of Conduct and Child Safety Policy </p><p><br /></p><p>Salary is in accordance with the Victorian Catholic Education Multi-Enterprise Agreement and available on website www.cecv.catholic.edu.au </p><p><br /></p><p>St Francis Xavier Catholic School is a child safe employer and is committed to the welfare of children and their protection.
