Brigidine College is seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our vibrant College community in the role of Pastoral Care Coordinator. The Pastoral Care Coordinator position is a permanent two (2) point coordinator role. This position will commence 28 January 2022.

<p>The Pastoral Care Coordinator has delegated responsibility for leadership of a cohort of students and their teachers. The Pastoral Care Coordinator is directly responsible to the Director of Pastoral Care and works with the Heads of Departments and Pastoral teams to enhance learning outcomes for students.</p><p>This two (2) point leadership position exists to lead, promote and support the learning, care and wellbeing of students, in collaboration with pastoral team members, teachers, support staff, specialist staff and other agencies as necessary. </p><p>A full and comprehensive Duty Statement for the Pastoral Care Coordinator is attached.</p><p>The successful applicant will need to demonstrate:</p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>the ability to work effectively and enthusiastically to develop both knowledge and faith aspects of our students</li><li>excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills<br /></li><li>the ability to work strategically with the Pastoral, Faculty and Executive teams</li><li>demonstrable and sustained success as a classroom teacher and in a pastoral care role</li><li>experience in working in collaboration with students, their parents, teachers, staff and other support services to maximise student achievement, well-being and learning outcomes</li><li>the ability to lead a growth based model of student development, integrating learning and wellbeing, based on a positive approach to working with students and their families </li><li>evidence of a commitment to building a positive, innovative, successful and resilient Brigidine College community, dedicated to the improvement of the experiences, lives and opportunities for our students.</li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>a willingness to contribute to the development of the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College</li><li>relevant professional development to this position</li><li>understanding of and ability to implement Sydney Catholic Schools Pastoral, Wellbeing and Student Management policies, guidelines and procedures</li><li>experience in implementing restorative justice, procedural fairness and working with families to support their children</li><li>experience in successful strategic and organisational leadership</li><li>successful experience in a pastoral care leadership role</li><li>highly developed personal skills and credibility in building relationships and a sense of community amongst students, parents and staff.</li></ul><p><b>Accountability:</b></p><ul><li>Pastoral Care Coordinators are directly accountable for the performance of their duties in this role to the Director of Pastoral Care.</li></ul><p>This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain a valid Working with Children Clearance. </p><p>Applications containing the following should be submitted via email to the Principal, Mrs Sharyn Quirk, at: principal&#64; </p><ul><li>A covering letter addressed to the Principal</li><li>Detailed written responses to the <u>Desirable Criteria</u></li><li>Complete CV, including transcripts of qualifications, details of your NESA Accreditation</li><li>Names and telephone numbers of three (3) referees</li></ul>
