Data Architect - Data Analytics Services

As part of the mission of the Catholic Church in the Diocese of Parramatta, the Data Architect is accountable for managing and improving the CEDP data management framework.

<p>To ensure that we continue to meet the needs of our diverse stakeholders, the Data & Analytics Services team is undergoing a transformation. With a focus on delivering efficient services and an exceptional customer experience across the organisation, we are hiring a Data Architect to support CEDP's data strategy.</p>
<p><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p>
<p>Reporting to the Head Information Services, the focus of your role will be to manage and improve the CEDP data management framework. More specifically you will:</p>
<ul>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Define an enterprise data reference architecture which induces how data should be structured, flows, integrated and operated across various data sets and systems</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Create data architecture principles and supporting processes which drive the adoption of common data architecture principles which includes various data governance and management policies. These include data feeds, data transformation, data migration, data ingestion, ETL, API, data lake, data warehouse processes</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Collaborate with various stakeholders on the development, production and maintenance of various data assets and systems</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Analyse industry and market trends to identify impact on enterprise architecture and provide advice on new technologies</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Translate business requirements into technical specifications, including data streams, integrations, transformations, databases and data warehouses</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders on various projects</p>
</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>About you:<br><br></strong></p>

<p dir="ltr">Tertiary qualifications in the relevant area of study</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">Technical expertise across a range of applications</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">
<p dir="ltr">Appropriate demonstrated experience</p>
</li>
<li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc">Strong ability to lead and collaborate cross functionally</li>
<li style="list-style-type: disc">Significant experience with data architecture at scale; at design and hands-on implementation levels<br><br></li>
<li style="list-style-type: disc">Experience in managing stakeholder expectations</li>
</ul>
