We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">The Head Student Services and Manager Diverse Learning Needs at the Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP), invite outstanding educational leaders to express interest in the position of Coordinator - High Support Centres for Learning.</p> <p dir="ltr">The High Support Needs - Coordinator is responsible for the leadership and coordination of CEDP high support learning settings that provide an education for students with a moderate intellectual disability and low adaptive functioning. More specifically, you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Support school leadership to plan, develop, implement and appraise frameworks to deliver the system strategic intent</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Focus on the synergy between equipping students with core academic skills as well as building their core values and personal qualities</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Support Leading Teachers in developing knowledge and skills to teach and support students with high support learning needs</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Establish goals and high expectations for all students and teachers, plan and engage in professional learning with school staff on contemporary learning and teaching</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Embrace pedagogy and practice that encourages the use of technology to improving student learning</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Outstanding leadership skills</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective communication and exceptional interpersonal skills in interactions with leaders, teachers and community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">An open and creative mindset, someone who will find solutions to complex issues and who will take risks to create inclusion of students, families and staff within and beyond their community</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A deep understanding of learning and the different ways that people learn</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Great aspirations for young people with disability, someone who does not see disability as an impediment to achievement</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">A thorough and structured approach to the necessary documentation and administration required for this role.&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and Accreditations required:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check clearance</p> </li> </ul> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Tertiary Qualification (minimum 4-year degree)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Statements of Service</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
