The College is seeking to appoint an Instructional specialist (Coordinator 3) 1 FTE - commencing term 1 2022

At the heart of all we do are our core values of empathy, curiosity, excellence, collaboration and truth.</p><p>Commencement Date: Term 1 2022</p><p><i>Are you a self motivated and innovative Educator?<br /></i></p><p><i>Can you provide instructional strategies to influence change in teaching practices?</i></p><p><i>Are you energised by creating experiences that challenge schools, students, teachers and parents to achieve and grow in ways they never thought possible?</i></p><p><br /></p><p>The Instructional Specialist is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</p><ul><li>Strong teaching capability proven through meeting all aspects of the proficient teacher in the Australian Professional Standards and operating at the level of a highly accomplished/lead teacher in accordance with the NESA teaching standards (although they may not formally hold this accreditation).<br /></li><li>Demonstrating exemplary classroom teaching practice in their own classroom teaching (0.5FTE).</li><li>Setting standards, build teacher capacity (with extra focus on early career teachers) and support school wide improvement.</li><li>Support and demonstrate high impact teaching strategies (HITS) used by teachers to craft lessons that provide the right amount of support and challenge for every student.</li><li>Understand and implement high quality, evidence-based instruction that meets students&#39; needs within their zone of proximal learning development and has clear SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based) goals.</li><li>Coach, mentor and model excellent teaching practice to peer teachers within the school in English.</li><li>Demonstrate High Impact Leadership Strategies (HILS) to guide and influence change in teacher practice and improve student outcomes.</li><li>Analyse data and trends within the school to identify areas for growth.</li><li>Strong capabilities to lead adult learning (including emotional intelligence).</li><li>Developing future Instructional Specialists.</li></ul><p>APPLICATION PROCESS<br /></p><p>To apply for this acting position (three year position), please submit a one-page covering letter in response to this advertisement and attach an updated Resume addressed to the PRINCIPAL.</p><p> Please click on View Role Description to read a detailed description about this position.</p><p>https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m7YLi5hukzsYbAZ9URiuWXNE6goXGjyA/view?usp&#61;sharing</p><p> WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p><p><br /></p>
