We are looking for a qualified and committed psychologist who can support and inspire our students to attain their potential, mentally, spiritually and academically. This person will work collaboratively with our learning diversity and wellbeing teams to support students, teachers and families. <p>We are looking for a qualified and committed psychologist who can support and inspire our students to attain their potential, mentally, spiritually and academically. This person will work collaboratively with our learning diversity and wellbeing teams to support students, teachers and families. The successful applicant will be a qualified psychologist with a Masters or Doctoral degree preferred.  The St Clare’s community is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all students in our care.</p><p>This position is a fixed term role for the 2022 and 2023 school years with a possiblilty of becoming ongoing.</p><p><b><u>The successful applicant will</u>:</b></p><ul><li>provide direct counselling and support to students to assist in their educational development and psychological health and wellbeing</li><li>administer educational, learning and psychometric assessment to students to identify their educational and mental health needs, as well as support applications for funding</li><li>provide general information, referral services and support</li><li>adhere to confidentiality, mandatory reporting and freedom of information practices and protocols</li><li>collaborate and meet with the Wellbeing and Learning Diversity Leaders to proactively monitor and support the wellbeing needs of the students on a regular basis</li><li>liaise with appropriate agencies or specialists where necessary</li><li>provide assessment services for students with cognitive, learning and/or social/emotional needs and communicate results to teachers and families</li><li>develop, document and facilitate the implementation of evidence-based education and behaviour management plans designed to be implemented by teachers to support the inclusion of students with cognitive, learning and/or social/emotional needs</li><li>contribute to the collection and analysis of data for the Nationally Consistent Collection of Data requirements</li><li>conduct regular progress reviews</li><li>maintain detailed and accurate case notes which must be made available to the principal upon request </li><li>provide professional learning for staff if, and when, appropriate</li><li>produce end of program reports for each student</li><li>contribute to the development and implementation of safety plans for students, in collaboration with staff.</li></ul><p><u><b>Special requirements:</b></u></p><ul><li>A strong commitment to the wellbeing of students within a Catholic school</li><li>An ability to build strong partnerships between families and school</li><li>Registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration of Australia (AHPRA)</li><li>Psychology qualifications at Masters or Doctorate level would be preferable</li><li>Experience working with children from diverse cultural backgrounds</li><li>Adherence to St Clare’s Child Safety Policy and Code of Conduct and other policies relevant to Ministerial Order 870</li><li>Current Working with Children Check</li></ul><p><br /></p>
