<p>St Patrick’s College Sutherland is seeking to appoint a dynamic and committed leader who is passionate about gifted education to lead our Newman Selective Gifted Education Program. St Patrick’s College has been part of the Newman Program since 2012. The College was a pilot school in the undertaking of the program and has been successful with two Newman Accreditation processes. </p><p>The successful candidate will have as a minimum a Certificate of Gifted Education and a passion for supporting the needs of gifted learners. This role will involve leading professional learning in the area of gifted education, as well as working collaboratively with teachers across all KLA’s.<br /></p><p><b>Essential criteria:</b><br /></p><ul><li>A strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, religious, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life </li><li>Post Graduate studies in Gifted Education- Certificate of Gifted Education or Masters of Gifted Education</li><li>Excellent organisational skills </li><li>An ability to support teachers across different KLA’s in catering for the specific needs of gifted learners</li><li>An ability to identify gifted learners </li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Experience as a Newman coordinator or Gifted Education specialist </li><li>An appreciation of the needs of twice-exceptional learners and gifted underachievers</li><li>Experience working across a range of KLA’s</li><li>An ability to promote collaborative practices amongst staff</li></ul><p>Applicants for the above position should provide their curriculum vitae as well as a written response to both the essential and desirable criteria to principal&#64;spcsutherland.catholic.edu.au.
