As a founding member of ACC Sport and a partner with elite sporting clubs including Manchester City Football Club, Parade College has for 150 years developed signature sporting programs, high performing teams and elite athletes. There is now an exciting opportunity to lead the College’s High Performance Sport Programs in the next phase.

<p><b>The Position </b></p><p> </p><p>We are seeking a renowned educator and/or sports administrator to take on this significant leadership role of Dean of High Performance Sport. <br /></p><p>The Dean of High Performance Sport is ultimately responsible to the Principal through the Assistant Principal- Partnerships and Organisation for the overall direction and organisation of the high performance sport programs within the College. The College is a member of the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) sporting competition and has timetabled classes for both inter-school sport and Health &amp; Physical Education. The College launches the Manchester City Football School in 2022, and has well established partnerships with elite sporting clubs including Melbourne City A-League, Northern Knights AFL and Diamond Valley Basketball.<br /></p><p>The primary responsibilities of this position are:<br /></p><ul><li>Oversee all ACC programs, teams and implement all ACC decisions. </li><li>Oversee teams and coaches for all ACC fixtures. </li><li>Be responsible for developing and maintaining the Sport Budget at Parade College, which includes elite programs. </li><li>Assist with the vision, development and implementation of elite sports facilities for the College. </li></ul><p>High Performance Sport at the College identifies, guides and fosters the development of high performing athletes and well-rounded men.<br /></p><p>Applications are welcomed, and considered, from teaching and non-teaching candidates. The successful candidate for this position will commence 28 January 2022, or earlier by negotiation. <br /></p><p><b>Attributes / Skills and Experience</b><br /></p><p>The ideal candidate would be tertiary qualified in teaching or sports management or similar discipline, together with relevant experience in sports management and administration within a school or similar environment, with the following qualities: </p><ul><li>An enthusiasm for sports and an ability to promote student participation and elite performance. </li><li>A comprehensive knowledge of the the required skills involved in a range of sports and strategies to develop them. </li><li>An awareness of the core values of the College and the Associated Catholic Colleges (ACC) competition and an ability to inculcate these into coaches, parents and players. </li><li>Highly competent and transparent organisational skills. </li><li>Excellent communication skills with a range of stakeholders. </li><li>An ability to relate with secondary school students and manage them effectively. </li><li>Ability to represent the College well in the public forum. </li><li>A capacity for leadership and direction of other staff. </li></ul><p>All Staff are expected to support and participate in the faith life of the College including commitment to the College Mission, ethos, and participate in ongoing professional development and learning. </p><p><b>About Parade College </b></p><p>Parade College is a Catholic school in the Edmund Rice tradition.
