The current 3 year cycle commences 2022.<br></em></span><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">All co-ordinator positions are advertised every 3 years within the school and incumbents are eligible for reappointment. </span></p>

<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">St John Paul College seeks a suitably qualified and passionate candidate to lead the design and implementation of programs to challenge and engage Gifted/High Potential Learning students in our Secondary College. </span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">The Coordinator of Gifted/High Potential Learning will help build teacher capacity to provide differentiated teaching and learning for GHPL students. They will facilitate the development of programs aimed at enhancing the experience of high potential learners across all curriculum areas. The GHPL Coordinator will work with and support Leaders of Learning and subject teachers in providing differentiated curriculum opportunities for students in Years 5 - 10 across the feeder Primary school and the College.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">The Coordinator of Gifted/High Potential Learning reports directly to the Assistant Principal Learning and Teaching and attracts a 0.2 FTE time and remuneration allowance.</span></p>

<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">have a current NSW Working with Children Check</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">full accreditation with NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA)</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">compliance with the <a href="https://csolismore.schoolzineplus.com/_file/media/2304/accreditation_to_work_teach_lead.pdf" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead</a> Policy upon appointment</span> </li>
</ul>
<p><strong style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">Teacher Accreditation: </strong></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">Teachers who are <span style="font-family: tahoma, arial, helvetica, sans-serif">appointed</span> to a leadership position, whether new to the position or applying to be re-appointed, should have begun, or will begin to make a commitment to the requirements of the diocese <a href="https://lism.catholic.edu.au/accreditation-brochure">Accreditation to Work Teach and Lead document</a>, Category C (Category E for positions of Catechesis and School Evangelisation), during this next triennium cycle.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">To be eligible to apply for a (Co2) position a teacher would normally be classified Band 2 (Proficient Teacher) Level 1 on the Teachers Standards Classification.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt"><strong>Criteria: </strong></span></p>
<ul>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; font-size: 11pt">have a knowledge of and commitment to the Catholic ethos and mission of the school</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; font-size: 11pt">provide evidence of qualifications in a specialised faculty</span></li>
<li><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; color: #000000; font-size: 11pt">able to work as a member of a committed team of professional teachers, dedicated to providing quality teaching and learning in partnership with the parent community</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">postgraduate training, or willingness to enrol in gifted and talented education or other relevant area</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">knowledge of current pedagogy and curriculum and/or experience within differentiated curriculum and programs to meet the needs of students at various levels/phases of development</span></li>
<li><span style="color: #000000; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt">experience in working with gifted/high potential students in a variety of settings including in the classroom and in targeted programs and experience in leading teachers in differentiation to cater for gifted/high potential students.</span></li>
</ul>
