<p><b>Commencement Date: </b>2022</p><p><b>Applications emailed to: </b>diane.cowan&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</p><p><b>Closing Date for application: </b>25 October 2021</p><p><br /></p><p><b>The Instructional Specialist is required to perform tasks which include but are not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>Strong teaching capability proven through meeting all aspects of the proficient teacher in the Australian Professional Standards and operating at the level of a highly accomplished/lead teacher in accordance with the NESA teaching standards (although they may not formally hold this accreditation).</li><li>Demonstrating exemplary classroom teaching practice in their own classroom teaching (0.5FTE).</li><li>Setting standards, build teacher capacity (with extra focus on early career teachers) and support school wide improvement.</li><li>Support and demonstrate high impact teaching strategies (HITS) used by teachers to craft lessons that provide the right amount of support and challenge for every student.</li><li>Understand and implement high quality, evidence-based instruction that meets students&#39; needs within their zone of proximal learning development and has clear SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and Time-based) goals.</li><li>Coach, mentor and model excellent teaching practice to peer teachers within the school in <b>ENGLISH</b></li><li>Demonstrate High Impact Leadership Strategies (HILS) to guide and influence change in teacher practice and improve student outcomes.</li><li>Analyse data and trends within the school to identify areas for growth.</li><li>Strong capabilities to lead adult learning (including emotional intelligence).</li><li>Developing future Instructional Specialists.</li></ul><p><b>APPLICATION PROCESS</b></p><p>To apply for this position (three year position), please submit a one-page covering letter in response to this advertisement and attach an updated Resume addressed to the Principal, Diane Cowan. <br /></p><p>Please click on the Role Description attachment to read a detailed description about this position.</p><p><b>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</b></p><p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us.</p>
