This is achieved through a collaborative approach by supporting and advising students, staff and parents in dealing with the various dimensions of adolescence, school and family life. </p><p>The Counsellor reports directly to the Dean of Pastoral Care and is a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team, providing this group with advice and information on professional matters regarding student welfare and supporting their work in the just and compassionate management of student wellbeing. </p><p><br /></p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>The successful candidate will be a highly capable professional with proven experience in supporting the wellbeing of students and can support the pastoral care needs of students of Rosebank College. </p><p>To be considered for this position, you must be a highly dedicated professional who meets the following criteria: </p><p><b>Essential: </b></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications </li><li>The ability to work effectively and cohesively with staff and students as a member of the Pastoral Leadership Team </li><li>Knowledge and skills in approaches to adolescent development including mental health assessment and interventions </li><li>A strong duty of care for young people and a commitment to providing confidential and evidence-based service </li><li>Ability to provide psychoeducation about adolescent mental health to teaching staff </li><li>Ability to collaborate with educators in formulating support programs for students </li><li>Full registration as a psychologist with AHPRA </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to demonstrate an understanding of current child safe principles, including legislation and guidelines </li><li>Possess a valid Working with Children Check </li><li>A commitment to the child safeguarding principles </li><li>Willingness to support the Catholic ethos and learning culture of the College </li></ul><p><b>Desirable criteria: </b></p><ul><li>Experience in delivering wellbeing interventions, programs and staff professional development </li><li>Previous experience working as a psychologist within a secondary school </li></ul><p><br /></p><p>For further information about the role, view the position description <a href="https://rosebank.nsw.edu.au/wp-content/uploads/Counsellor-Psychologist.pdf" rel="nofollow">here</a>.</p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>The Process </b></p><p>If you believe you meet the requirements of this position as listed above, then we would love to hear from you.
