Our foundation as a traditional, yet modern place of education ensures our students gain from our experience and history through innovative pedagogy inspired by best practice. </p><p><b>Available for start January 2022 Head of Pedagogy (or earlier by agreement)</b></p><p>A rare opportunity has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced leader to lead Pedagogy within the school and foster the professional growth of teachers as a mentor, coach, and designer of professional learning, developing strategic professional learning plans that are aligned to The School’s strategic plan and impact positively upon teacher practice<b>.  </b></p><p>Applicants for this role will ideally have:</p><ul><li>A high level of proficiency in response both strategically and proactively to the changing education sector, lead innovation collaboration and model a positive approach to improving teaching and learning. </li><li>High level of proficiency in teacher accreditation expertise, knowledge of how adults learn and differentiated pedagogical practice. </li><li>Exceptional rapport with children, parents, and staff to work collaboratively and creatively, ensuring the child is at the centre of the learning. </li><li>Postgraduate Qualifications in Education Management or Education Leadership </li><li>Proven pedagogical expertise and the ability to lead the School in teaching and learning and the development of teachers, collaboratively working with staff and other stakeholders to maintain and improve academic standards and set the professional learning culture. </li><li>Working knowledge and understanding of independent and boarding school settings</li></ul><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>The Role</b><br /></p><p>The role will apply both summative and formative approaches to teaching and learning through the following: </p><p>a) the application of the national teaching standards as determined by AITSL and NESA, </p><p>b) NESA and NSWAIS teacher accreditation processes </p><p>c) designing bespoke Scots professional learning programs approaches to teaching at The Scots School Albury, and set-up and conduct peer observation, mentoring, action planning, research, and collaboration. </p><p>d) Lead and orchestrate Professional Learning across the school in consultation with Exec. </p><p>e) Establish innovative and successful Pedagogical practices that reflect correct best practice. </p><p> </p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>Please see attached detailed position description for further details. </b></p><p><b>The position requires a teaching role of approximately 0.8FTE. </b></p><p><b>How to apply for role: </b></p><p>All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia, and successful applicants must gain a NSW working with children check before they commence employment. </p><p>All teaching staff must hold current registration with the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA).
