The Deputy Principal will be responsible for all matters relating to teaching and learning across years Prep to 12, and for supporting staff across the College in achieving best practice in all areas of the curriculum

While this position will commence in Term 1 of 2022, the purpose of the role is to assist the Principal and staff to achieve the intent of the college’s vision, Mission and Values and to successfully implement the Strategic Operational Plan. It is an exceptional opportunity to lead best practice in a ‘teaching, learning and instructional leader’ role at the College. </p><p>The successful applicant will; <br /></p><ul><li>Uphold learning as the heart of all that we do at St Paul’s College and assume responsibility for the oversight of the curriculum and the progress and wellbeing of students</li><li>Be future focused, with high expectations of self and others, understanding that for each of our students every moment of learning matters.</li><li>Recognise St Paul’s College as a community of learning by modelling and nurturing a culture of growth, rigour, and curiosity for all students</li><li>Work closely with the College Principal as a strategic, action-oriented leader and a thoughtful contributor to College wide projects and initiatives</li></ul><p><b><u>Skills &amp; experience</u></b></p><ul><li>Registration with Victoria Institute of Teaching (VIT)</li><li>Have proven experience of successful team leadership and expertise in meeting the needs of students with disabilities across the ABLES (Victorian Curriculum)</li><li>Approval to teach in specialist education and/or extensive experience teaching students with Autism, mild to moderate intellectual disability, physical needs, and challenging behaviours.</li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively, proactively, and professionally with colleagues, parents, carers, school learning support officers and all other stakeholders involved. </li></ul><p><u><b>Benefits</b></u></p><p>As an employee of VMCH you will be provided with ongoing personal and professional development, career pathways opportunities, a positive and supportive workplace culture and excellent salary packaging benefits.</p><p><u><b>About us </b></u><br /></p><p>St Paul&#39;s College VMCH is an Independent Catholic Specialist School, providing education for Prep to year 12 students with a wide range of special needs including intellectual, physical, profound multiple and sensory disabilities, autism, and complex medical conditions.
