Brigidine College is seeking to appoint an engaging and passionate Youth Ministry Coordinator to join our vibrant community in 2022. This position is a full-time permanent coordinator position attracting a 1 point time and remuneration allocation.

<p>Brigidine College seeks applicants whose academic background is Religious Education and who have a passion to engage and lead young minds in the love of learning and of Christ.</p><p>The applicant must be an enthusiastic, talented, teaching professional who desires to deepen student understanding and growth to create a dynamic and vibrant 21st century learning environment, an environment that positively promotes and inspires students to grow in their faith and love of Christ. The applicant will demonstrate a commitment to leading in the Catholic faith and seek opportunities to develop self and the Brigidine students in our Catholic mission.</p><p><b>About the Youth Ministry Coordinator role:</b></p><p>The Youth Ministry Coordinator works closely with the Principal and Director of Religious Education &amp; Mission to foster the personal and spiritual growth of the young women at Brigidine. The Youth Ministry Coordinator gives leadership to the development and coordination of evangelisation and social justice opportunities in alignment with the Brigidine Charism to empower the students to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in the world today. The Youth Ministry Coordinator works to develop and sustain partnerships with the Brigidine Sisters, local parishes and schools to engage young people in the life, mission and work of the Catholic community.</p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>The successful applicant will be able to clearly demonstrate:</p><ul><li>Commitment to Catholic Education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a strong and active commitment to the practice of the Catholic faith</li><li>An understanding of the emerging approaches to youth ministry and evangelisation</li><li>Commitment to and passion for the Australian Catholic Youth Festival and World Youth Days as experiences of faith for young people</li><li>Commitment to academic excellence</li><li>Passion for engaging young people into the diverse works of the Catholic Church</li><li>Knowledge of the NESA curriculum </li><li>Ability to work as part of a collaborative team and a willingness to support and participate in school and parish initiatives</li><li>Commitment to participate in professional learning and faith formation programs</li><li>High level communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Capacity to foster and strengthen relationships between the school and parish communities</li><li>A willingness to develop, implement and lead evangelisation and social justice programs in alignment with the Brigidine Charism.</li></ul><p><b>Essential Qualifications</b><br /></p><ul><li>Teaching qualifications (Religious Education)</li><li>The ability to teach Religious Education to Stage 6 including Studies of Religion and Studies in Catholic Thought.</li><li>Use of creative and innovative teaching practice to provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigor.</li><li>Exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate these into a wide range of curriculum applications.</li><li>An an innovative Educator who is future-focused and has a passion for working collaboratively</li><li>Hold or be in the process of obtaining <a href="https://reonline.sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/professional-learning-2/" rel="nofollow">Sydney Catholic Schools Category D accreditation</a></li></ul><p><b>Applications should include:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Cover application letter of one (1) page addressed to the Principal, Mrs Sharyn Quirk</li><li>Written response addressing the <u>Key Selection Criteria</u> in a maximum of five (5) pages</li><li>A current curriculum vitae/resume outlining teaching and other experience relevant to the position</li><li>Please provide the name and contact details of three (3) referees.</li></ul><p>For further information pertaining to the Youth Ministry Coordinator role, please contact the Director of Religious Education &amp; Mission at the College, Jamie Lee Wood, on <a href="mailto:jamielee.wood&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">jamielee.wood&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</a></p><p><br /></p><p><b>CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: Tuesday 26 October 2021</b></p><p>Please email your application to:</p><p>        Mrs Sharyn Quirk (Principal)</p><p>        Email: principal&#64;bcrandwick.catholic.edu.au </p>
