Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more than 19,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p dir="ltr">The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this&nbsp;permanent&nbsp; full time position with Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) commencing January 2022.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p dir="ltr">The Executive Assistant is a senior role in the area of administration within the service areas of CEDoW.&nbsp; The role exists to support the Head of Service and service area team in achieving the vision and mission of the Catholic Education Office Wollongong ensuring growth in faith and improvement in learning for all students. Thus, the role of Executive Assistant requires a clear commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">The applicant should demonstrate and provide evidence of:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader&nbsp;Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Advanced interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to effectively manage the administrative systems and processes to support to the Head of Service and School Improvement Team.</li> <li dir="ltr">Technical competence in appropriate technologies:&nbsp; <ul> <li dir="ltr">MS Office Suite of applications&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Google Workspace applications</li> </ul> </li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to manage and maintain the administration of system accountabilities and legislative requirements.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">The capacity to work both independently and as a member of a collaborative team.</li> <li dir="ltr">The ability to lead an administration team.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Knowledge and understanding of a Catholic secondary school function.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Competence in accounting processes, data systems and financial management procedures.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">GENERAL CAPABILITIES applicable to the role:&nbsp;</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to maintain confidentiality&nbsp;and be discrete.</li> <li dir="ltr">Effective organisational skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to meet competing deadlines and delegate appropriately.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Customer service orientation.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Minimum Certificate IV in Business Administration or relevant discipline.</li> <li dir="ltr">Minimum of five years administration/office management experience.</li> </ul> <p><br>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>Applicants must be able to comply with any NSW&nbsp;Public&nbsp;Health&nbsp;Orders&nbsp;pertaining to Education that are in place as of the commencement date of this position.
