<p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this temporary full time parental&nbsp;leave replacement position for an 18 month period commencing as soon as possible in the Finance, Facilities, ICLT &amp; Planning Service area of the Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong.</p> <p>Reporting to the Manager - Business &amp; Accounting Services, the role of the Financial Accountant will be vital to the success of the School Improvement agenda being framed for the system. You will provide financial reporting services to the CEO Leadership Team and internal service areas.&nbsp;</p> <p>KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES</p> <p>Working closely with internal service areas and key external relationships the main duties will include but not be limited to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial reporting, management of the Fringe Benefits process, GST, ABS returns, Salary Packaging management, fortnightly payroll transfers and reporting requirements.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated willingness to support mission of Catholic education</li> <li>Experience in the accounting function of a medium to large organisation</li> <li>Demonstrated analytical skills in financial context</li> <li>Proven expertise in leading organisation change</li> <li>Ability to work strategically in a team environment</li> <li>Ability to represent the organisation in an honest, ethical and professional way</li> </ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPEREINCE</p> <p>You will have a degree level quali?cation in Accounting, Commerce or Business with experience in a medium to large ?nancial accounting environment.
