Catholic Education Diocese of Wollongong (CEDoW) comprises 38 Catholic schools with more then 19,000 students enrolled across the Illawarra, Macarthur, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands regions.

<p>The Director of Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for this permanent full time position as a Professional Officer within the Leadership and Professional Growth Team, with Catholic Education, Diocese of Wollongong commencing January 2022.</p> <p>POSITION DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Working as part of the Leadership and Professional Growth Team within Human Resource Service and with significant experience in senior leadership positions in schools, this role supports schools in achieving the vision and mission of the diocese, ensuring growth in faith and improvement in learning for all students. This role is designed to support the work the LPG Team in building the capacity of the workforce, focusing on the professional growth of staff and the ongoing development of leadership across the organisation.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>A sound understanding of and a willingness to support the mission and purpose of a Catholic school.</li> <li>A demonstrated ability to apply the principles of adult learning to professional development.</li> <li>A capacity to design and deliver quality professional learning experiences to school and system staff.</li> <li>Sound understanding of school leadership with reference to the Diocesan Leadership Framework.</li> <li>The demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and work collaboratively with school staff, various HR teams and across other CEDoW service areas.</li> <li>An understanding of the role of HR in supporting workforce planning and management.</li> </ul> <p>DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li>Qualifications and experience in coaching for improvement.</li> </ul> <p>EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Appropriate Masters level qualifications.</li> <li>Accredited to Level E in accordance with the To Work, Teach and Lead Policy, or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment within CEDoW.</li> </ul> <p>The following General Capabilities are applicable to the role:</p> <ul type="disc"> <li>Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.</li> <li>Effective&nbsp; organisational&nbsp; skills with demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.</li> <li>Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li>Strong service orientation.</li> <li>Significant competence in applicable school administration technologies.</li> <li>Demonstrated positive attitude to innovation and change.</li> <li>Ability to maintain confidentiality.</li> </ul> <p>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p>This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p>Applicants for this position must be able to comply with NSW Public Health Orders that are in place at the time of the commencement date of the position.
