We are always on the lookout for top talent to help us achieve our strategic goal of inspiring the future, through quality catholic schooling and by strengthening the professional lives of our employees.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Finance and Administration team is part of the Catholic Education Office (CEO) located in Parramatta and we aim to provide exceptional support to schools to ensure that CEDP achieves its strategic goals.</p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About the opportunity:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">Reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager, we’re looking for an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on a full time temporary basis of 6 months.</p> <p dir="ltr">The focus of your role will be to ensure the business has accurate, timely and insightful information to manage and drive the performance of the organisation. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Prepare and deliver month end management reports with insightful commentary on performance</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Review and update monthly capital expenditure forecasts</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Coordinate the preparation of the annual budget and monthly forecasts with relevant head office departments</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Proactively engage with key stakeholders, effectively communicating financial results and driving accurate forecasts</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Analyse and interpret data to improve the financial performance of the organisation</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Assist in the development and implementation of effective and efficient reporting tools</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Develop and maintain KPI reports</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Develop financial models in response to ad-hoc reporting requirements&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Identify and implement improvements in finance procedures and management reporting to improve efficiencies while still mitigating financial risks</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the purpose and core values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Strong analytical capabilities and technical accounting skills&nbsp;</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Exposure to Tech One or any large ERP (eg SAP)</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Team player with the ability to effectively communicate and influence a variety of stakeholders</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Adaptability and the drive to follow tasks through to completion both accurately and to required timeframes</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>Qualifications and Experience</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Relevant tertiary qualifications</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">CA/CPA qualified</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in Bi reporting Tools desirable</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ideally exposure to large and complex organisations&nbsp;</p> </li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">We believe that our employee community is a key strength of our organisation and we aim to attract the best talent to achieve our strategic goal of being leaders in quality, faith-based education and an Employer of Choice in our sector.
