Our school motto 'Faith and Knowledge' challenges us to be a community who serves others, provides academic excellence and nurtures relationships.<br><br><strong>About the Role</strong></p> <p>Sacred Heart Central School is seeking to appoint an <strong>Infants Curriculum/Welfare Co-ordinator.</strong>&nbsp;It is a full-time position which includes a minimum 0.2 FTE administration time and the remaining time in a teaching load or similar role. Sacred Heart has approximately 340 students enrolled K-10.</p> <p>The Infants Coordinator, as a member of the Executive leadership team, assists and support the Principal in the ministry of leadership. The main areas of responsibility are the administration, curriculum and welfare of the Infants classes, as well as other duties directed by the Principal from time to time.</p> <p><strong>Essential Criteria</strong></p> <ul> <li>An understanding and commitment to the Church’s mission in Catholic Education and the capacity to contribute to the spiritual and community life of the school.<br><br></li> <li>Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills so as to engage positively with colleagues, students and parents;<br><br></li> <li>The capacity to be a proactive member of a professional learning community complying with the legal, administrative and professional requirements;<br><br></li> <li>Classroom practices and organisational skills that create supportive and safe environments for all students, including meeting a variety of learning needs;<br><br></li> <li>A thorough knowledge of the Australian Curriculum with the ability to organise, select and design content for effective teaching and learning within the classroom and across the school;<br><br></li> <li>Successful planning and implementation of programs including the use of Literacy &amp; Numeracy Blocks, Student-centred inquiry teaching and learning pedagogy and the integration of technology;<br><br></li> <li>A comprehensive understanding of assessment and reporting strategies and the need to provide effective and timely feedback to parents and students;</li> </ul> <p><em>Please refer to the role description for an in-depth detail regarding criteria and skill set required.<br><br>Please note that this position is for an initial two-year period with an opportunity for further extensions. Two further extensions (each of four years) will be offered based on performance outcomes.
