<p>The Opportunity </p><p>Reporting to the Heads of Department, we invite applicants who will contribute to our Christian ethos to teach English and Social Sciences or Christian Studies/Religion &amp; Ethics and improve student learning within those subject areas. Specialist skills and abilities in middle schooling pedagogies, curriculum and engaging students of all abilities, will be advantageous. </p><p>Position type: Full-time, Permanent (2 positions available) </p><p>Anticipated Commencement Date: Friday 14 January 2022 </p><p>About You </p><p>This position would suit someone with a commitment to the ethos, Christian values and teachings of the College. The suitable candidate will also have: </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to teach Year 7 – 10 Christian Studies, English and Social Science subjects </p><p>• Demonstrated ability to teach Year 11 and 12 QCAA Religion &amp; Ethics or </p><p>Demonstrated ability to teach Year 11 and 12 QCAA English, Literature, Essential English, History and/or Geography syllabi </p><p>• Accredited teacher with Lutheran Education Australia, highly desirable </p><p>• Preference for experienced teachers, highly desirable </p><p>• Ability to teach in another area could be an advantage </p><p>• Willingness to assist with GEL – Grow, Empower, Learn (student holistic care program), GEL lessons, Chapel supervision, Inter-School sporting teams or recreational activities </p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary curriculum issues in English and Social Sciences education </p><p>• Awareness of National curriculum imperatives. </p><p>About Us </p><p>Grace Lutheran College is a large two campus, co-educational secondary school with a strong history of excellent education.
