<p>Lakeside College seeks a 0.8FTE student support officer / teacher aide for the remainder of the 2021 school year. This role would be worked over a 5 day work week during school terms.</p><p>Applicants must submit a resume demonstrating the following key selection criteria:</p><ul><li>An active Christian faith and a willingness to uphold the ethos of the Lutheran Church of Australia </li><li>A high level of experience working with Secondary age students with diverse learning needs </li><li>Experience working with students with challenging behaviours as well as social and emotional needs </li><li>High level of understanding of diagnosed learning disabilities and relevant intervention strategies (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder and Oppositional Defiant Disorder) </li><li>Experience in implementing and authoring behaviour plans, individual education plans and student support plans </li><li>Have excellent organisational, communication and information technology skills </li><li>Relevant qualifications (e.g. Certificate III in Education Support) </li><li>A current working with children’s check or ability to gain one </li></ul><p>Applications will be considered on a rolling basis as an immediate start is preferred. </p><p><b>Application process </b></p><p>Please forward a resume of no more than 3 pages including details of 3 referees, including one who must attest to the applicant’s faith and/or ability to support the Christian ethos of the school.
