</h4><p>Wenona is seeking a passionate and experienced temporary PDHPE teacher to join our outstanding PDHPE faculty. The successful candidate will have PDHPE teaching experience, with a focus on high standards and inspiring our girls through their passion for the subject. An ability to make a contribution to our K-12 Sport and PDHPE program will be an advantage. The successful candidate will inspire our young women through dynamic classroom practice, refined professional knowledge and a commitment to high performance.

</p><p>This is a temporary part-time position for the duration of Term 1, 2022. This role will be approximately 0.8 of a full-time load, across 5 days.
</h4><ul><li>Ability to work collaboratively with PDHPE teachers to improve the quality of teaching and learning in PDHPE, with a focus on innovative assessment practices that engage our girls in both Personal, Development and Health as well as Physical Education</li><li>Ability to teach and aspire to the standards articulated in the Wenona Effective Teaching Cycle</li><li>Willingness to make an outstanding contribution to K-10 Sport and PDHPE, including a solid understanding of IGSA and IPSHA Sport</li><li>Strong knowledge of NESA curriculum, HSC assessment practices and marking processes, including developments with Australian Curriculum implementation in NSW</li><li>A commitment to pastoral care and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students</li><li>An ongoing commitment to professional learning, including making a contribution to the broader education community</li><li>An understanding of and commitment to the educational needs of young women</li><li>A commitment to collaborative teaching practices and an ability to contribute to a team and faculty of professional educators</li><li>A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community</li><li>An ability to use ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom</li></ul><p>Wenona School seeks to provide a child safe environment. </h4><ul><li><b>Award & Classification:</b> Independent Schools NSW (Teacher’s) MEA 2015 – 2017 Award.</li><li><b>Hours of work: </b>Temporary, Part-Time.</li><li><b>Reporting Line</b>: All positions report to the Principal.</li><li><b>The line manager for this position:</b> Head of Department - PDHPE</li><li><b>Professional Learning:</b> You will be expected to attend and contribute to all staff professional development days and requirements as outlined in the School’s calendar.</li><li><b>Other duties:</b> In addition to teaching duties, the successful candidate will be required to participate in other areas of the School including playground duties, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities and school camps. This role involves the application of discipline and participation in the School’s program for pastoral care. Some of the duties will need to be performed at times outside the normal classroom teaching hours including weekends.</li><li><b>Parking: </b>There is no car parking provision for this role.</li></ul><h4>Application process
