Part time Live Boarding Supervisor position

<p><strong>About the role</strong><br /></p><p>The role of a residential live-in Boarding Supervisor is significant. As such, the ideal candidate will be a positive and professional role model who understands that their role is ‘in locus parentis’ in managing the pastoral care of students. They are the first point of contact for a boarding student during their rostered duty. This candidate must therefore remain objective, fair, tolerant, and understanding even under difficult circumstances. They must maintain confidentiality and have a strong focus on the safeguarding of students. The Boarding Supervisor will work closely with the Leader of Boarding as well as various staff members throughout the College and must therefore have the capacity to work as a member of a team within a dynamic and demanding environment. They will exhibit a strong work ethic and enduring commitment to providing exceptional service in light of the ethos of the College and Marist Schools.<br /></p><p> This role requires you to live onsite in a self-contained one bedroom unit. As a residential live-in Boarding supervisor, you will be required to live in the boarding house throughout the school term and to complete a roster of shifts throughout the week, including weekends. These hours are outside of normal schools hours, such as waking students up and following a program after school through to lights out. A clear roster is provided to supervisors at the beginning of each term and some flexibility is possible if managing alternate work and/or study. Meals are provided during your rostered shift and full use of school facilities is allowed.
