Sydney Catholic Schools is seeking to appoint a passionate, dynamic, and innovative Assistant Principal to commence in Term 1, 2022.

<p dir="ltr">St Therese Catholic Primary School Mascot is the largest Catholic Primary School in Sydney's inner-city and we operate as a multicultural, multilingual Catholic community. <p dir="ltr"><strong>About You</strong><br /> As the Assistant Principal, you will play a vital part in establishing a sense of belonging and partnership within our community. Key areas of supporting the Principal include pastoral leadership, teaching and student care.<br /> </p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate proven experience in:<br /></strong></p>
<ul dir="ltr">
<li>supporting the creation of a contemporary, student-centric learning culture</li>
<li>developing and implementing effective strategies for high-quality induction and professional learning of staff including performance reviews</li>
<li>working collaboratively with staff to build their professional capacity</li>
<li>driving a personal and team commitment to continuous school improvement using problem-solving, creative thinking, feedback and advice</li>
<li>motivating and working with others to initiate and foster evidence-based reflection, and future-focused improvement to achieve best practice in contemporary teaching and learning</li>
<li>understanding the diverse nature of learners and proven excellence in meeting their needs</li>
<li>creating a Catholic learning culture of shared responsibility focused on quality teaching and quality learning for all students</li>
<li>managing and leading change and improvement within a school and its community</li>
<li>creating a culture of inclusion and hospitality by initiating relevant opportunities to engage with parents, caregivers and parish to build and maintain effective partnerships</li>
<li>leading as part of a Network in establishing a compelling pre to post educational experience</li>
<li>contributing actively to the life and mission of the Catholic Church, through word and action, demonstrating the values of the Gospel at work.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="ltr">You will have attained or be pursuing the following qualifications:</p>
<ul dir="ltr">
<li>postgraduate studies in Leadership, Religion, Theology or Education</li>
<li>requirements of <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/policies/accreditation-policy-to-work-teach-and-lead-in-sydney-catholic-schools">(Category E)</a> in the Accreditation Policy to Work Teach and Lead in Sydney Catholic Schools or agree to meet these requirements in your first contract term.</li>
