Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and share in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p dir="ltr">St Michael’s Primary School, Baulkham Hills is one of the largest systemic schools in the Diocese of Parramatta, with a population of 800 students, and 55 teaching and ancillary staff. Our curriculum is rich and diverse and we offer learning spaces designed for the 21st century learner. You will work alongside a passionate and supportive team committed to achieving positive learning outcomes for each student. More specifically you will:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Creating inclusive practice in school culture in relation to the effective implementation of personalised learning and adjustments for students with additional needs and disability</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Understanding and implementing the Personalised Planning process</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing specialised teaching support services to schools aimed at building teacher capacity using a gradual release model</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Providing expert advice to leadership teams, teachers and the wider system on matters related to specific disabilities and/or additional needs in accordance with CEDP guidelines</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Working collaboratively to ensure inclusion, access and participation and to maximise learning outcomes for students with additional needs</p> </li> </ul> <p><span style="text-decoration: underline">This is an ongoing full-time opportunity, commencing in Term 1, 2022</span></p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in working with students with additional needs, intervention programs.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">An ability to co-plan and co-teach with teachers</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Experience in personalised plans</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Knowledge of how to structure lessons to meet the physical, social and intellectual development and characteristics of students. Strong teachers have extensive knowledge of the content and sequence of Key Learning Areas - including Religious Education.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">An understanding of the fundamental concepts, structure and enquiry processes relevant to programs they develop and teach. They understand what constitutes effective, developmentally appropriate strategies in their learning and teaching programs and use this knowledge to make the content meaningful to students.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">The ability to create and maintain safe, inclusive and challenging learning environments and implement fair and equitable behaviour management plans.
