Permanent Part-time School Officer - Hospitality and Food Technology position at St Clare's High School, Taree. Within a contemporary school learning environment, this role will assist the Food Technology, Hospitality and Textiles teachers in the smooth and efficient running of the school. <p> The position is responsible for: <br>• Preparing practical and demonstration classes for Food Technology, Hospitality and Textiles. <br>• Ensuring the general cleanliness, tidiness and smooth operation of the kitchen on a daily basis. <br>• Maintaining equipment, resources and accurate kitchen documentation for the Food and Hospitality faculties. <br>• Learn and be willing to complete food menu calculations. Ordering, monitoring and controlling stock plus undertake buying for the sections. <br>• Use of computer-based information sources to manage ordering, stock control and WHS requirements. All employees are required to undergo a National Police Check, retain a valid NSW Working with Children Check and ensure compliance with our safeguarding policies, the Diocesan Safeguarding Commitment Statement and the Codes of Conduct. </p> <h3>Essential Criteria:</h3> <p> • Ability to articulate a clear understanding of and a personal commitment to Catholic Education and to actively supporting the Catholic ethos and culture of the school <br>•Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate with school staff, students and the community <br>•Demonstrate an innovative and agile mindset that supports and enhances a culture of continuous improvement within the school environment <br>•Demonstrated knowledge of current food safety practices and standards. <br>•Ability to maintain equipment, resources and accurate kitchen documentation for Food Technology and Hospitality. <br>•Demonstrated ability to maintain a safe working environment <br>•Demonstrated experience in food handling and preparation The applicant must provide evidence of the following: <br>•Current Paid Working with Children Check (WWCC)number <br>•Current Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or equivalent <br>•CPR + Anaphylaxis certificate or willingness to obtain. </p> <h3>Desirable Criteria:</h3> <p> •Current First Aid Certificate </p> <h3>Renumeration:</h3> <p> Salary is in accordance with New South Wales &amp; Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2020. </p> <h3>Additional Info:</h3> <p> The covering letter should address the criteria as outlined and contact details of your referees are to be included.
