Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College is seeking an energetic, innovative, future focused Science Teacher for this permanent position starting 2022. For an interested candidate, there is also the possibility of the Gifted Education Team Leader attracting a time allowance.

<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div>The College is seeking a dynamic, innovative and collaborative Science Teacher to contribute to our Science faculty and College. The ability to teach chemistry is highly desirable.</div><div><br /></div><h5>For an interested candidate, there is also the possibility of Gifted Education Team Leader attracting a time allowance.</h5><div><br /></div><h4><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></h4><ol><li>A working understanding of, and overt commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School in the tradition of the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart.</li><li>Secondary Science teaching qualifications.</li><li>Ability to teach chemistry is desirable. </li><li>Stage 6 teaching experience is highly desirable. </li><li>Demonstrated experience teaching science to secondary school students. </li><li>Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers to design inquiry based learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.</li><li>Enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.</li><li>Use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning.</li><li>Ability to use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students.</li><li>Clear understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin successful engagement and learning.</li><li>Be open to growth and development through professional learning experience which includes classroom observations.</li><li>Willingness to be involved in extra-curricular aspects of the College.</li></ol><div><br /></div><div><b>Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></div><ol><li>WWCC Clearance </li><li>Classification to work in Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Good communication, empathy and relationship building skills.</li><li>Honesty, integrity and authenticity in dealings with parents, students and colleagues.</li></ol><div><a href="https://forms.gle/AkTdvxVAz4AJ3cKh7" rel="nofollow">Application Form</a></div><div><br /></div>
