<p>St Francis of Assisi Primary School are seeking a highly skilled and experienced lead teacher who can collaboratively lead professional learning, and build the capacity of others to contribute to the ongoing development of our learning community with a particular focus on our EAL learners. Applicants will possess the skills and abilities to promote high expectations for all, plan teaching and learning for EAL learners with teams of teachers, coach and mentor beginning and experienced teachers, track learners ion the EAL continuum, interpret data and assessment at all levels of the school and create the conditions for effective EAL teaching practice to help each student achieve their greatest potential.</p><p>The position of leadership will be offered for a two year period 2022 - 2023. The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school.</p><p>St Francis of Assisi Primary School is committed to the safety, wellbeing and protection of all children in our care.</p><p>Applicants are asked to demonstrate:</p><ul><li>an ability to develop and maintain respectful and caring relationships with students, families and colleagues</li><li>a capacity to lead professional learning around EAL learners, using evidence based best practice, for the continual improvement of learning and teaching</li><li>an ability to work collaboratively in a coaching capacity to build the skills and knowledge of others</li><li>an ability to track, analyse and interpret data (particularly the EAL Continuum)to make informed decisions about student and teacher learning </li><li>an ability to collaboratively lead the EAL learning and teaching in our community</li><li>an understanding of Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL) and the implementation of this to create safe and effective teaching and learning environments</li></ul><p>Special requirements:</p><ul><li>Accreditation to Teach Religious Education<br /></li><li>a working knowledge of the EAL Continuum</li><li>a working knowledge of Visible Learning </li><li>further study or post graduate qualifications in EAL/TESOL</li></ul><p><br /></p>
