<p><b>About Us </b></p><p>St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience. The College is structured into a three school model of learning, incorporating the Middle School (Years 7 and 8), Croagh Patrick (Year 9) and Senior School (Years 10-12). While each School has unique features and purposes, the tapestry which forms our College binds us together in academic, social justice and co-curricular excellence for all students. St Patrick’s is a Catholic co-educational Year 7-12 college of approximately 1,500 students with a strong academic culture that encourages individual students to develop to their full potential through a broad educational experience. </p><p><b>About You </b></p><p>As an experienced Careers Advisor, you will have: </p><ul><li>A certificate IV in Career Development (or willingness to obtain), </li><li>Experience and proficiency in secondary education with the ability to effectively relate and work with secondary aged students, </li><li>A comprehensive understanding of tertiary education system and tertiary entrance requirements, the VET system, apprenticeships and traineeships, </li><li>A strong passion in supporting and encouraging secondary aged students to be confident, courageous, informed and open to all possibilities, as they seek out their future pathways, </li><li>Strong interpersonal and relationship skills to effectively communicate and interact with a range of people from differing backgrounds, and </li><li>Excellent organisational, time management and administrative skills. </li><li>Understanding of and ability to contribute to the mission of St Patrick’s College as a Catholic school </li></ul><p>CET supports the rights of children and young people and is committed to providing a safe and supportive environment directed at ensuring their safety and wellbeing. The successful candidate will require satisfactory registrations relevant to child safety. </p><p><b>The Opportunity </b></p><p>As a Career Advisor at St Patrick’s College you will support students to explore the world of work, identify career options and pathways and build career management skills and general capabilities in preparation for a successful transition to postschool life. You will empower, engage, and advice students as they explore and plan their future work, career and education options, whilst being responsive to and mindful of the changing nature of work and study options available.
