Holy Spirit College, Edmonton is seeking applications for a Head of Campus to join their team at the beginning of 2022.

<p><b>Position Details </b></p><ul><li>Fixed Term Position (5 Year Contract)</li><li>Substantive Full Time Permanent Teaching Position</li><li>30 Hours Per Week</li><li>Commencing: 15 January 2022</li><li>Applications close: 5pm, Friday 29 October 2021</li></ul><p><b>About Holy Spirit College </b></p><p>Holy Spirit College offers individualised and flexible multiyear secondary education programs for young people disengaged from mainstream schooling. The College provides a variety of innovative teaching and learning practices that acknowledges young people’s complex education and social needs and empowers them to identify and pursue individual transition to adulthood, further education, employment, back to a mainstream school setting and importantly a connection to the community. Staff focus on the diverse needs of young people and their families. </p><p>Young people who attend include indigenous and non-indigenous young people who are disengaged from mainstream education for a range of reasons and include young people: </p><ul><li>with a history of trauma;</li><li>with a history of extended periods of unexplained absences;</li><li>who are highly mobile;</li><li>who have had contact with the juvenile justice system;</li><li>in the care of the Office of Children and Families;</li><li>with mental illness or at risk of engaging in self-harming behaviours or substance abuse;</li><li>who have been excluded or repeatedly suspended from school;</li><li>who are homeless;</li><li>with a generational history of early school leaving and/or unemployment.</li></ul><p><b>Purpose of the Role </b></p><p>The Head of Campus/Deputy Principal is responsible for the management and professional leadership of the campus on a day to day basis; ensuring delivery of the College’s curriculum with a focus on the student as a self-directed learner, the implementation of the College’s vision, mission, policies and programs along with the provision of pastoral care. </p><p>In this position the Head of Campus is expected to: </p><ul><li>Manage the administration of the Campus</li><li>Ensure that the College’s Mission, Vision, Values and Principles are fully embedded in the culture of the Campus</li><li>Provide professional and, in conjunction with the AP Learning, instructional leadership ensuring the college curriculum is delivered in line with the requirements.</li><li>Work with the College Principal in the identification of professional development needs of staff</li><li>Communicate with a wide range of audiences – students, staff, parents, and community stakeholders</li><li>In association with the College Leadership Team plan the Campus budget and keep to the agreed budgets</li><li>Focus on enhanced achievement and engagement of all young people across the college</li><li>Teach as required.</li></ul><p><b>Mandatory Qualifications &amp; Requirements </b></p><ul><li>Professional qualifications in Education, as per Queensland Catholic Education Commission Position Statement for Senior Leadership Position in Catholic Schools in Queensland </li><li>Registered or eligible to register with Queensland College of Teachers </li><li>Leadership experience: </li><li>   Demonstrated experience in education leadership of at least 5 years</li><li>   Demonstrated administrative ability</li><li>   Demonstrated skills in interpersonal relationships</li><li>Written and verbal communication skills of a high order</li><li>Demonstrated commitment to the pastoral care of members of the school community</li><li>Promotes child safety at all times</li><li>Capacity to understand and implement Duty of Care and Workplace Health and Safety requirements</li><li>A current driver’s licence at LR level or above or will gain within 3 months of employment</li></ul><p><b>How to Apply </b></p><p>For further information and an Application Pack, please visit https://www.cns.catholic.edu.au/ </p><p>Applications close 5pm, Friday 29 October 2021 </p><p><i>Catholic Education is an equal opportunity employer. </i></p><p><i>Intending applicants must be fully committed to creating and maintaining a child safe organisation.</i></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
