<p dir="ltr">Magdalene Catholic College is a coeducational systemic high school in the Macarthur region within the Diocese of Wollongong. The College provides quality Catholic education, based around values of discipleship and service, quality relationships, love of learning and personal best. Magdalene Catholic College is well known for its focus on excellence and the development of the whole person spiritually, physically, culturally and academically. With a growing student population (currently 1095 students), the College enters its twenty-third year in 2021.</p> <p dir="ltr">A permanent full time position commencing 28 January 2022. The successful applicant will be required to teach TAS across either the Digital Technologies areas from Stage 4-6 or Industrial Technology and Technology Mandatory.</p> <p dir="ltr">The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning for students to reach their full potential.</p> <p dir="ltr">ESSENTIAL SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.</li> <li dir="ltr">Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of PB4L.</li> <li dir="ltr">Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in various TAS subjects across all stages.</li> <li dir="ltr">Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.</li> <li dir="ltr">Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents /carers and the wider school community.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">DESIRABLE SELECTION CRITERIA</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Aptitude and willingness to contribute to the broader life of Magdalene Catholic College whilst supporting the TAS faculty and what it offers the College.</li> <li dir="ltr">Qualified and enthusiastic to teach any other TAS subjects - Information Software (Stage 5) and Technology (Stage 6) Software. Design and Development (SDD) and/or Information Processes and Technology (IPT). The ability to teach Industrial Technology Timber and/or the possession of a VET qualification would be advantageous.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;GENERAL CAPABILITIES</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed interpersonal skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Well-developed oral and written communication skills.</li> <li dir="ltr">Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.</li> <li dir="ltr">Strong organisational skills.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li dir="ltr">Appropriate qualifications for teaching a variety of courses across the TAS Faculty either in iSTEM and Industrial Technology or Stage 5 and 6 computing technology subjects.&nbsp;</li> <li dir="ltr">Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment with CEDoW.</li> <li dir="ltr">The applicant must be accredited to teach with NESA.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr">WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</p> <p dir="ltr">This role is classified as child related work and therefore a Working With Children Check (WWCC) is required prior to your employment with CEDoW.</p> <p dir="ltr">Applicants must be able to comply with any NSW Public Health Orders pertaining to Education that are in place as of the commencement date of this position.
