<p>The Maintenance Team is responsible for the provision of a safe environment for students and staff and the creation and maintenance of a physical environment that is conducive to learning and that also provides a high level of amenity for students and staff.<br /></p><p><b>Key Functions </b></p><p>The role of the Maintenance and Grounds Assistant is summarised by the following key functions: </p><p>• Active participation in day-to-day grounds and building maintenance. </p><p>• Setting up for school functions. </p><p><b>Specifically, this includes assisting with (but not limited to): </b></p><p>Assistance with maintenance on all grounds and gardens activities (experience in the below would be preferable) consisting of:</p><ul><li> Watering</li><li> Pruning </li><li> Mowing </li><li> Brush cutting </li><li> Sweeping </li><li> Weeding </li><li> Rubbish removal </li><li> Gutter cleaning </li><li> Pressure washing </li></ul><p></p><ul><li>Changing of light globes and fittings on campus </li></ul><ul><li>Assistance with any campus deliveries </li></ul><ul><li>Assistance with school set ups for functions and events </li></ul><ul><li>Moving and delivery of furniture and equipment on grounds </li></ul><ul><li>Maintenance and cleaning of drainage pits on campus </li></ul><ul><li>Participation in end of year tasks </li></ul><ul><li>Use of safe work practices at all times </li></ul><ul><li>Ensuring compliance with all regulations and school protocol at all times </li></ul><ul><li>Any other tasks allocated from time to time. </li></ul><p></p><p><b>Responsibility </b></p><p>Member of the Administration team with direct responsibility to the Maintenance Manager and other maintenance officers. </p><p>The Maintenance Assistant must have a current, valid Working with Children Check before beginning employment. </p><p>A current valid driver license is required for the Maintenance Assistant position, as they may be requested to drive the campus work vehicles from time to time. </p><p><b>Hours </b></p><p>37.5 hours per week over 5 days 8 am to 4pm, with some flexibility needed in the case of afterhours or weekend events.</p><p>The successful applicant will be a member of the Administration staff.
