St Clare’s College is seeking a creative and experienced Communications Officer. This is a permanent part-time position, 3-days per week commencing Term 1 2022 (term time only).

<p>St Clare’s College is seeking a creative and experienced Communications Officer to join the School Support team. This is a permanent part-time position, 3-days per week commencing Term 1 2022 (term time only).<br /></p><p>The successful applicant must be an innovative, self-motivated individual with a creative flair and an eye for detail.  The person must demonstrate strong support for the vision and ministry of Catholic Education, and assists the Principal in facilitating the promotion of the College both internally and externally. <br /></p><p><b>About the role:</b><br /></p><p>The position will involve a variety of responsibilities as directed by the Principal. Duties include, but not limited to;</p><ul><li>Creation of promotional and marketing materials, including the College newsletter, flyers, Yearbook, awards etc</li><li>Content creation for the College website and social media channels </li><li>Distribution of College communication, via Compass </li><li>Photography at all College events &amp; activities, including assemblies, Open Days &amp; sporting events</li><li>Management of the College website and social channels</li><li>Copywriting and editing </li></ul><p><b>Key Selection criteria:</b></p><ul><li>Show highly developed interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Work autonomously with minimal direction to set deadlines and timeframe</li><li>Interact positively with a helpful and cooperative approach to students, staff, external agencies and members of the public</li><li>Ability to work with external agencies</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times</li></ul><p><b>Essential Qualifications, Skills &amp; Experience Required:</b></p><ul><li>Desktop publishing skills essential, proficient across Adobe Creative Suite programs and Google applications<br /></li><li>Photography skills</li><li>Experience with all social media platforms and Wordpress</li><li>Knowledge of Compass, an advantage</li><li>Excellent organisation skills, with an ability to multi-task</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role</li><li>Experience within the education industry, an advantage</li><li>Working with Children Check Clearance essential </li></ul><p>Applicants should email their CV to the College Principal, Mrs Kerrie McDiarmid, with a cover letter addressing your suitability, examples of your work and three references.
