St Thomas the Apostle School is seeking an experienced teacher / leader for the role of Deputy Principal (0.4), Learning and Teaching Leader (0.4 for 2022) and a classroom teaching component (0.2). The position commences on 28 January 2022.

<p>St Thomas the Apostle School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic teacher / leader to join our staff and community.</p><p>The Deputy Principal supports the Principal in the leadership of the school, working collaboratively to develop the Catholic identity, and foster a community to implement the school&#39;s vision for learning. </p><p>The Learning and Teaching Leader role is for 2022 in line with the current cycle of our Positions of Leadership. There will also be a one day teaching component in this full time position.</p><p>Our welcoming school works collaboratively with parents to provide an excellent education in a faith-filled community.</p><p><b>Applicants must demonstrate: </b></p><ul><li>successful experience in a leadership role in a Catholic primary school<br /></li><li>experience in a range of educational settings</li><li>excellent communication skills and an ability to create positive relationships with all members of the school (staff, students and families), the parish and wider community </li><li>post graduate qualifications and a commitment to ongoing professional learning </li><li>accreditation to teach / lead in a Catholic school </li><li>accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic school </li><li>current VIT registration </li><li>knowledge of the Child Safe Standards and of the expectations of a staff member in adhering to them </li><li> an ability to use data to improve student learning</li><li>an understanding of the Victorian Curriculum and current curriculum initiatives</li><li>confidence in using technology <br /></li><li>an understanding of the AITSL Standards </li></ul><p><b>Application Procedures:</b><br /></p><p>Applications should be made in writing and include the names and contact details of three referees, one of which must be your Parish Priest.
