</li></ul><p>Warakirri College offers Year 10 and HSC courses to young people 15-22 who have disconnected from mainstream educational pathways, but who now want to complete their education in a safe and inclusive context.
</p><p>Due to the strong growth in student numbers at all campuses, Warakirri College is seeking to appoint a full-time permanent English/History Teacher at our Blacktown Campus. With very small classes, a flexible adult learning environment and a happy team of dedicated professionals the school supports young people facing social disadvantage in Fairfield, Blacktown and our new campus in Campbelltown.
</p><p><b>The successful candidate will be:
</b></p><ul><li>Flexible, creative English/History teacher
</li><li>Keen to support students' individual needs
</li><li>Confident in using IT
</li><li>Able to build strong professional relationships with staff and students
</li><li>Good communicator who wants to make a difference in the lives of young people<br /></li></ul><p><b>Essential to the role:
</b></p><ul><li>Relevant tertiary qualifications including a Bachelor's Degree and Diploma of Education or equivalent
</li><li>Accreditation with NESA
</li><li>Experience in delivery of Stage 5/6 English & History curricula
</li><li>Ability to teach young people who have faced social challenges
</li><li>High level of judgment, flexibility and foresight to prioritise/resolve issues in line with College requirements and student needs
</li><li>Highly developed communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
</li><li>Experience in teaching a subject other than English or History to HSC level is beneficial<br /></li></ul><p><b>How to Apply
