We’re looking for an enthusiastic and committed educator with a deep passion for Technology, Design & Technology and Art. You will be highly motivated to inspire, engage and ensure the continued academic success of all students. The role is permanent part-time (0.4 to 0.6 FTE).

<h4>KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</h4><ul><li>Plan and implement creative and well sequenced teaching and learning programs that engage and challenge students, promote learning and have high expectations of students. </li><li>Have an in-depth knowledge of NESA Technology, Design &amp; Technology curriculum for Stages 4 – 6 and Visual Arts curriculum for Stages 3, 4 and 5. Ability to teach jewellery, silver smithing and technology is desirable. </li><li>Maintain teaching programs and registers and other appropriate assessment records as required by the College. </li><li>Use a range of teaching and learning strategies to deliver quality teaching that engages and challenges students. </li><li>Be responsive to student learning preferences by differentiating teaching and learning delivery. </li><li>Demonstrate a passion for and experience in assisting students to achieve learning outcomes to the best of their ability. </li><li>Use continuous assessment and constructive feedback to inform teaching practices personally and within the department. </li><li>Work collaboratively within the faculty and across all support systems in the College for the benefit of student learning. </li><li>Engage in constructive, positive and meaningful communication with parents / carers in a timely manner. </li><li>Prepare regular and meaningful feedback to students and write constructive, positive student reports that reflect a deep understanding of the student and their learning continuum. </li><li>Adhere to deadlines. </li><li>Perform wellbeing and other duties as required. </li><li>Attend all mandatory College functions such as but not limited to Speech Night, Sports Carnivals, Parent/Teacher Interviews, Information Sessions. </li><li>Attend College performances regularly. </li><li>Participate in and contribute to the College’s Professional Development Program. </li></ul><h4>ESSENTIAL CRITERIA</h4><ul><li>Have successfully completed tertiary studies in an area relevant to this position.</li><li>Hold an NSW recognised teaching qualification.<br /></li><li>Be a NESA registered teacher.<br /></li><li>A current Working With Children Check (WWCC).<br /></li><li>Evidence of a double COVID-19 vaccination. </li><li>You must advise the Principal prior to employment of any matter that would affect your employment or the reputation of the College. </li></ul><h4>PLEASE INCLUDE WITH YOUR APPLICATION</h4><ul><li>Cover letter, addressing the selection criteria and acknowledging that you have no knowledge of: any Child Protection allegations against you; and / or any professional misconduct allegations concerning you.</li><li>A full Curriculum Vitae. </li><li>Contact details of two (2) professional referees, one of which must be from your latest school employer. </li><li>The College Child Safe Applicant Declaration </li></ul><h4>PLEASE ADDRESS YOUR APPLICATION TO</h4><p>The Principal, Mrs Maxine Kohler <a href="mailto:recruitment&#64;mcdonald.nsw.edu.au" rel="nofollow">recruitment&#64;mcdonald.nsw.edu.au</a> </p>
