St Bernard’s College is a vibrant learning community providing holistic boys’ education with a strong focus on academic excellence. The College is seeking a suitably qualified and highly motivated full-time Junior Humanities & RE and VCE Economics, Business Management & History Teacher. The position is a fixed-term 1-year contract commencing 27 January 2022.

<p><b>The main responsibilities of the position include:</b><br /></p><ul><li>Provide opportunities to engage students in various learning experiences where students are encouraged and supported in achieving personal excellence. </li><li>Provide students with a positive role model through their actions as committed Catholic educators. </li><li>To assist students with individual and group work in accordance with the work requirements outlined in the course of studies. </li><li>Assist the Key Learning Leaders in reviewing, designing and developing curriculum. </li><li>Work as part of a team of Faculty and/or College-based staff. </li><li>Work as part of the teaching staff at St Bernard’s College. </li><li>Other tasks as directed by the Key Learning Area Leaders and Deputy Principal. </li><li>Be involved in our extra-curricular program.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>The successful applicant will have a teaching qualification and VIT registration and will demonstrate the following competencies: </b></p><ul><li>Experience teaching Junior Humanities, Religious Education and VCE Economics, Business Management and History; </li><li>Understanding of and demonstrated commitment to the Catholic philosophy and ethos of education; </li><li>Understanding of the pastoral care needs of boys in a Catholic secondary school; </li><li>Experience within a Catholic educational organisation is an advantage.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Please complete the online application form by clicking on the ‘Apply Now button.</p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>Applications close at <b>4.00 pm Friday, 19 November 2021.</b></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><i>The College promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children and young people.</i></p><p><i>Evidence of a valid Working with Children Check and compliance with the COVID-19 Mandatory Vaccination (Workers) Directions are a condition of employment.
