<p>Mater Dei School is the original educational service of Mater Dei. As one of ten schools that comprise Good Samaritan Education, it is a Catholic, independent school in the Good Samaritan Benedictine tradition.  Mater Dei School is a coeducational setting for Kindergarten to Year 12 students with intellectual disability, and has a strong focus on Research and Evidence-based teaching practices.  </p><p>We currently have a number of casual teaching vacancies available for enthusiastic educators who have a passion for Special Education, commencing as soon as possible. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria</b></p><p>Successful applicants must have:</p><p>• A current Working With Children Check  </p><p>• Registration with NESA  </p><p>• A commitment to the Catholic ethos and willingness to teach the School&#39;s Religion Education Program </p><p>• A commitment to innovation and educational change </p><p>• Experience and/or qualifications in, or an understanding of, Special Education </p><p>• A flexible and adaptable approach with a good sense of humour and enjoy being part of a supportive, professional team</p><p>• Strong skills in the teaching of Literacy and Numeracy </p><p>• An ability to teach across all KLAs </p><p>• A personal commitment to life-long learning  </p><p>• Vaccination is a condition of employment at Mater Dei.
