An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an innovative, proactive and passionate School Support Officer to join our team. This is a temporary part-time role until the end of 2022, with every possibility of the position becoming permanent.

<p>An exciting and rewarding opportunity exists for an innovative, proactive and passionate School Support Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be the face and voice of the College. This is a temporary part-time role (3 days per week) until the end of 2022, with every possibility of the position becoming permanent.</p><p>The role of the School Support Officer will report to the Principal and work collaboratively with the College Leadership Team, staff and parents. This role will support the delivery of quality learning and teaching. You will be a strong team player supporting our values and mission, and contributing to the effective business administration of our school. </p><p><b>The role will require:</b> <br /></p><ul><li>Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Experience in administration/professional support in a fast-paced business support setting</li><li>High organisational and time management skills, the capacity to multitask, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.</li><li>The ability to work autonomously with minimal direction to set deadlines and timeframes</li><li>Interacting positively with a helpful and cooperative approach to parents, students &amp; staff</li><li>Engagement with all school processes, as directed by the Principal</li><li>A flexible and service orientated approach</li><li>Commitment to the mission of Catholic Education.</li></ul><p><b>Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:</b></p><ul><li>Be a key point of contact for telephone enquiries, correspond with key stakeholders and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders. </li><li>Providing high level administrative management of the office to the College Leadership team and teaching staff.</li><li>Managing communications and events for the school community.</li><li>General communication with staff and students and parents regarding curriculum matters. </li><li>Assisting the Principal &amp; staff as required.</li></ul><p><b> Essential skills and experience include:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of three years experience in a similar role</li><li>First Aid Certificate desired but not essential</li><li>Competence and confidence in using a variety of software programs including Google platform, MS Office. Compass desirable but not essential.</li><li>Strong demonstrated experience with high level administration and accounting systems</li></ul><p>The successful applicant will thrive on working in a fast paced setting and possess exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to maintain confidentiality.</p><p>This position is classified as child related employment.
