<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $ 125,407 P.A. PLUS SUPER </b></p><p><b>INITIAL 2 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING 17 JANUARY 2022 </b></p><p>An exciting opportunity exists for an Education Officer working with regional and remote schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based at Berrimah, Catholic Education Office. </p><p>The Education Officer is responsible for the provision of professional learning and high level support for educators in Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools, regional and urban schools in the areas of literacy planning, programming and assessment. </p><p>Essential Requirements </p><p>• Assist school principals, teachers and support staff of Aboriginal Catholic Community Schools, regional and urban primary and secondary schools in developing appropriate pedagogy to support EAL/D students. </p><p>• Provide professional learning opportunities responsive to the needs of student, school and system requirements. </p><p>• Develop the capacity of classroom teachers in relation to &#39;EAL/D aware&#39; teaching, learning, assessment and reporting practices across the curriculum. </p><p>• Provide professional support for teachers in planning, programming and assessment aligned to the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) and NT EAL/D Learning Progressions </p><p>• Support classroom teachers and support staff in schools with interpreting and responding to student data to improve language, literacy and learning outcomes across the curriculum. </p><p>• Promote and model an Instructional Coaching approach to support schools in implementing language and literacy programs. </p><p>• Support bilingual education as appropriate to the school’s context. </p><p>This position may involve working with children.
