<p><b>FULL-TIME | SALARY RANGE $ 125,407 P.A. PLUS SUPER </b></p><p><b>INITIAL 2 YEAR CONTRACT | COMMENCING 17 JANUARY 2022 </b></p><p>An exciting opportunity exists for an Education Officer: Aboriginal Education supporting regional and remote schools in the Northern Territory. The position is based at Berrimah, Catholic Education Office. </p><p>The Education Officer; Aboriginal Education works in collaboration with the Manager Aboriginal and Islander Education engagement and workforce development. The position contributes and promotes the development of a culture of reflection, self-review and continuous improvement focused on improving staff capacity and student outcomes. The work of the Education Officer is integrated and supportive of School Leadership Teams and where appropriate classroom teachers. </p><p>Essential Requirements </p><p>• Demonstrated commitment to Catholic Education. </p><p>• Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary research and development in 21st century curriculum, pedagogy, wellbeing and school leadership. </p><p>• Knowledge and experience in culturally competent and responsive frameworks and pedagogies. </p><p>• Knowledge and experience in contemporary research and development in enhancing Aboriginal Education . </p><p>• Knowledge of Tyson Yunkaporta’s 8 Ways Learning or similar Aboriginal learning frameworks. </p><p>• Relevant classroom teaching experience. </p><p>• Proven experience working with school leaders and within multidisciplinary teams. </p><p>• Registered as a teacher in the Northern Territory or eligibility to obtain registration. </p><p>• Holder of the Northern Territory Police SAFE NT Working with Children Clearance (Ochre Card) or eligibility to obtain clearance </p><p>This position will involve working with children.
