St Ambrose Parish school values the Performing Arts and we wish to employ a dynamic Music & Performing Arts teacher as a specialist role for 2 days a week.

<p>St. Ambrose Parish School is a welcoming school that works together to provide an excellent education in a faith-filled community. We want to complement our Visual Arts program with a teacher that can lead our students in drama, music, dance and build our student&#39;s confidence and self-esteem. We have 10 classes, F- 6, that would each participate in a lesson once a week. </p><p>This role would include working towards a school concert. There also would be other opportunities for students to perform at a school assembly, Masses, Local Community, etc.</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably experienced persons for the part-time ongoing position of Performing Arts to commence on 27th January 2022. </p><p>The successful applicant will have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children. </p><p>As a member of staff, the performing arts teacher is responsible for developing respectful, collaborative relationships with students, staff, and parents, to contribute to positive school culture. </p><p>The performing arts teacher will enact the Child Safe policy, ensuring all students are safe. </p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>• Provide a diverse performing Arts program drawing from the Victorian Curriculum areas of drama, music, media arts, and dance and personal and social capabilities </p><p>• Be able to work as a team with staff </p><p>• Proactively monitor, support, and address issues of student wellbeing</p><p>• Report and provide feedback to students about their learning</p><p>• Contribute actively to a positive team culture</p><p>• Provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience</p><p>• Participate in extracurricular activities relating to performing arts and the life of the school</p><p>• To deliver an engaging and rigorous classroom curriculum, using modern pedagogy and best practice. </p><p>• Ensure the Performing Arts is showcased to the broader school community. </p><p>The successful candidate will be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment.
