Domremy College is seeking to appoint a suitable qualified Learning Support Officer for a temporary contract commencing Term 1, 2022. This position is being readvertised and will involve 60 hours per fortnight.

<p><b>About the role:</b></p><p>The role of Learning Support Officer is to assist in the provision of education and pastoral care for students from Years 7 to 12 with a wide range of learning abilities.  The Learning Support Officer works collaboratively with the leader of Diverse Learning.  As a member of Domremy College, the role requires a commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools and a willingness to contribute to the faith formation of students.</p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>The successful candidate will be able to:</p><ul><li>Demonstrate experience implementing adjustments for students with a range of diverse learning needs to enhance learning growth across all KLAs.</li><li>Collaboratively and collegially work as a member of the Diverse Learning Team.</li><li>Provide in class support to students who have a mild to moderate cognitive disability.</li><li>Collect data and evidence to support NCCD requirements and an understanding of relevant legislation (DDA, DSE).</li><li>Administer one on one and small group interventions to students with a diverse range of learning abilities.</li><li>Administer a range of standardised assessments.</li><li>Knowledge of the Quicksmart Program preferred.</li><li>Maintain school based data and records upholding confidentiality.</li><li>Use and integrate technology across a wide range of administrative and curriculum applications into everyday learning and planning.</li></ul><p><b>Formal Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Qualifications and/or experience as a Learning Support Officer/Teacher&#39;s Aide is essential.</li></ul><p>Applicants should register their interest by submitting a cover letter and resume to the Principal, Mrs Antoinette McGahan.  Please use the Principal&#39;s Executive Assistant&#39;s email address: <a href="mailto:donna.malpass&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">donna.malpass&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</a><a href="http://donna.malpass&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au" rel="nofollow"></a></p><p>Applicants must be registered to work with Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS).  To commence this process, please go to <a href="https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/careers" rel="nofollow">https://sydcatholicschools.nsw.edu.au/careers</a></p><p><b><br /></b></p>
