<p><strong>Core Role Purpose</strong></p> <p>The College is seeking a suitably qualified and innovative diverse learning specialist to support the development and implementation of programs for students with additional needs. The successful candidate will be a central figure in the College&#39;s professional learning model working closely with Key Learning Area Coordinators and class teachers to develop and refine programs for as well as co-teach students with additional needs using best practice, evidence-based strategies. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will have: </p><ul><li>commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students<br /></li><li>appropriate tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW</li><li>a strong understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </li><li>experience working closely with students with additional needs</li><li>demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigour</li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate these into a wide range of curriculum applications </li><li>ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice </li><li>a willingness to be involved in the College&#39;s co-curricular activities </li></ul><p><br /></p>
