<p><b>We invite collaborative and energetic educators to apply for the temporary part-time Reading Recovery Teacher (0.50 FTE- 5 half-days from Monday-Friday each week in the first year of Reading Recovery OR 0.3 FTE approx 2hrs each day from Monday- Friday each week if previously trained) position that will begin in 2022.</b></p><p><b><br /></b></p><p><b>The following essential criteria apply for a teacher to train as a Reading Recovery teacher: </b></p><p>- have a sound knowledge of and commitment to the Church&#39;s mission in Catholic Education</p><p>- experience in teaching early literacy</p><p>- commitment to Reading Recovery training for the year which includes attendance at all in-service sessions and daily teaching of four students identified for Reading Recovery.</p><p>- a commitment to implement Reading Recovery for one year after initial training.</p><p>- demonstrated ability to work as a team member.</p><p>- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with members of the school community.</p><p>- an understanding that this is a 0.3 FTE position but 0.5 FTE in the initial training year.</p><p>- a willingness to work in the role from Monday to Friday.</p><p><br /></p><p><b>??Requirements for this role include:</b></p><p>- If you have not already completed reading recovery training, you must be able to make a firm commitment to do this in 2022.</p><p><i>Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
