The preferred candidate will be enthusiastic, keen to engage and inspire our students and be able to deliver a curriculum that caters for students with different learning styles.</div><div>You will be responsible for the effective implementation of the NESA Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) syllabuses, and as such, you are a role model personally and professionally. You will have the ability to develop positive relationships, foster a culture of collaboration and inquiry and be proactive in your support of the Catholic mission and values of Mary MacKillop College.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>About you:</b></div><div><br /></div><ul><li>be a qualified teacher and be committed to the full range of College activities</li><li>be committed to the Catholic ethos and values of our school </li><li>be an enthusiastic educator who can contribute to the culture of the school and its community</li><li>have secondary education qualifications to teach Stage 4 Technology </li><li>be able to teach Stage 5 and/or 6 subjects in the TAS KLA or in another KLA such as VET Hospitality, Visual Arts or Religious Education</li><li>have an understanding of the education of girls</li><li>able to cater for the diverse needs of learners</li><li>have a proven ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team</li><li>possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>possess a sound knowledge of the NSW Technological and Applied Studies curriculum</li><li>have an understanding of the requirements of the NSW Education Standards Authority</li><li>have a strong work ethic</li><li>be a graduate teacher interested in joining an innovative and dynamic TAS faculty OR</li><li>be an experienced teacher interested in joining an innovative and dynamic TAS faculty who:</li><li>    is a highly effective, innovative and motivated educator with a passion for learning and teaching</li><li>    has proven ability to differentiate instruction and personalise learning for students from Year 7 to Year 12</li><li>    has experienced in assessing for learning, as learning and of learning</li><li>    has demonstrated the ability to integrate effective feedback in student learning</li></ul><div><br /></div><div><b>Selection Criteria:</b></div><div>All applications must address the following Selection Criteria. The Selection Criteria for the TAS/Hospitality Teacher position require the applicant to explain, and provide examples if relevant, of:</div><ul><li>their understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic Church</li><li>their secondary education qualifications to teach Stage 4 to 6 subjects in Technological and Applied Studies and/or subjects in another KLA such as Hospitality, Visual Arts or Religious Education</li><li>exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective contemporary pedagogies</li><li>excellent classroom management skills</li><li>effective communication skills with students, staff and parents</li><li>a proven ability to work collegially within a faculty</li><li>a commitment to growing the College&#39;s culture of learning and thinking</li><li>the ability to lead pastoral care and student management for a cohort (if applying for Year Coordinating)</li></ul><div>This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain a valid Working with Children Clearance.</div><div><br /></div><div>Sydney Catholic Schools is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, students and school communities.
