MacKillop College is seeking to employ an experienced Assistant Business Manager / Financial Account, who can support the Business Manager in the day-to-day running of finance and business operations of the College.

<p><b>Assistant Business Manager / Financial Manager </b></p><p>The role of the Assistant Business Manager/Financial Manager is to take direction from the Business Manager and give support and assistance in non-academic matters to ensure the efficient day-to-day management of finance, business operations, administration and facilities services. The Assistant Business Manager/Financial Manager is expected to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail at all times. They will assist the Business Manager in:<br /></p><p>• Performing, in an acting capacity, the role of the Business Manager in their absence </p><p>• Managing the financial activities of the College including strategic planning, financial forecasting, scenario analysis, cashflow management, preparation of the annual budget and financial statements </p><p>• Ensuring the College has effective and adequate insurances </p><p>• Maintaining a strong working knowledge of the GST requirements and procedures, particularly as they apply to schools </p><p>• Overseeing monthly management accounts, monitoring reports and lodgement of statutory returns including BAS, FBT and census documentation </p><p>• Proposing revisions to the budget if necessary, in response to significant or unforeseen developments and changes in funding/legislation </p><p>• Evaluating and implementing necessary process improvement initiatives as required in business operations </p><p>• Assisting with regulatory, educational and general compliance requirements </p><p>• Providing support to the development of business plans as required </p><p>• Maintaining updated financial and management accounting systems </p><p>• Ensuring that fees, charges and remissions determined are correctly applied to the account of each student </p><p>• Ensuring appropriate and timely postings to general ledger are reconciled </p><p>• Ensuring the profit and loss and balance sheet accurately reflect the current financial position of the College </p><p>• Overseeing the preparation of financial information for the Finance Committee </p><p>• Collaborating with the College accounts department and preparing financial records to support the audit processes </p><p>• Defining, implementing and evaluating appropriate financial policies </p><p>• Maintaining and reconciling the College asset register, including regular audit of assets and their condition </p><p>• Participating in annual financial surveys and annual benchmark studies </p><p>• Attending team meetings to drive a climate of quality and excellence and encourage a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement </p><p>• Liaising with the Office Manager to ensure accurate and timely flow of information and knowledge between Finance and Administration teams </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><b>The successful applicants will: </b></p><p>• have appropriate tertiary qualifications </p><p>• have experience in finance and/or business administration </p><p>• preferably possess current membership to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia, but not essential </p><p>• have significant working experience in the field of Business, Finance and Accounting </p><p>• have a current Working With Children Check and National Police Record Check </p><p>• be supportive of the philosophy of Catholic education </p><p>• be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment. </p><p><br /></p><p>This position will be a Category A School Services Officer and remunerated as per the Victorian Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement 2013. </p><p><b>Your application must contain:</b><br /></p><p>• The prescribed Application for Employment Form </p><p>• Curriculum Vitae </p><p><b>The prescribed Employment Application Form can be accessed via our webpage at </b><a href="http://mackillopwerribee.com.au/information/employment/" rel="nofollow">http://mackillopwerribee.com.au/information/employment/</a></p><p><br /></p><p>Applications must be forwarded no later than <b>10 am</b> on <b>Monday 13 December 2021</b> to:</p><p> The Principal<br />MacKillop College<br />PO Box 522, WERRIBEE VIC, 3030<br />Tel: (03) 8734 5200<br /><b>Email:</b> <a href="mailto:employment&#64;mackillop.vic.edu.au" rel="nofollow">employment&#64;mackillop.vic.edu.au</a></p><p> </p><p><i><br /></i></p><p><i>The MacKillop College community promotes the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children. </i></p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>
